ICU Nurse

American Medical Center would like to invite interested and qualified applicants for the following positions.

Main duties and responsibilities

The ICU Nurse is responsible for the following tasks:

• ICU Nurse is responsible for evaluating a patient’s condition and administering treatment, as well providing constant support throughout recovery time.
• Responsible for critical patient care and support by closely monitoring and managing the patient’s condition, administering specialized treatment, medications, and interventions, and providing emotional support to both the patient and their family members
• Monitoring and assessing patients' progress, promptly identifying any sudden or subtle changes in their medical condition
• Administer medications using different methods such as intravenous injections, gastric tubes, sublingual, transdermal patches, subcutaneous injections, and oral routes.
•  Assisting with intubation, bedside procedure.
• Providing regular updates on patients' progress to doctors, patients, and their families.
• Carrying out approved diagnostic or therapeutic procedures based on the patient's clinical status.
• Responding to health emergencies and promptly notifying the appropriate doctors.
• Evaluating patients' laboratory data and vital signs to determine if emergency interventions are necessary.
• Providing continuous care and support throughout the patient's recovery journey in the ICU.
• Advocating for patients' and families' needs, ensuring their concerns and preferences are addressed.
• Offering emotional support to patients and their families during this challenging time.
• Setting up and monitoring medical equipment and devices, such as ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, transducers, and pressure lines.
• Assessing patients' pain levels and determining appropriate sedation requirements.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Qualification Requirement

•  BSC Degree in Nursing from locally or foreign accredited institutions.

Work Experience 

• Two years and above.

• Proficiency in the use of computer
