Daye Bensa Coffee is one of major coffee exporting companies in Ethiopia exporting green coffee directly from its own farms and farms of affiliated farmers. We export various coffee from all coffee regions of different grades from conventional to speciality with more than 20 years in the coffee business.

  Job Summary
The HR Manager is responsible for building the organization and HR operations while setting a good culture in the organization. The HR manager is responsible for the development and operations of all employee administration, recruitment, retention, productivity, lay-offs and development plans and policies & processes. Next to this the HR manager is responsible for all government relations including licenses and permits as well as facilitating labor legal matters. 

Accountabilities
  • Execution of Establish/update needed policies and procedures within the department and oversee the implementation in the company.
  • Plans, organization, coordination and supervision of the overall activities of human Resources Department.
  • Effective implementation of HR process such as: recruitment, on boarding, training and development, performance management and employee relations.
  • Manage employee grievances disciplinary issues and other administrative issues according to the labor laws regulations and the organization procedure or administrative manual.
  • Manage overall company training program by conducting training need assessment, monitor yearly training plan and document trainings reports.
  • Ensure employee satisfaction and retention
  • Ensure productivity by effectively monitoring, tracking, implementing KPIs in all departments.
  • Liaises with local legal attorney on employment law matters
  • Build and maintain relationship with different public organizations regarding labor relations. And keep a close eye on regulatory changes and implementations affecting Human Resources.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of policy trends and regulatory changes affecting Daye Bensa and make appropriate recommendations regarding Human Resource strategy surrounding them.
  • Other tasks assigned by the line manager

Job Requirements:

Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

  • Master or bachelor’s degree in human resource, Business Administration, or comparable field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience for a private organization in an HR function of which a minimum of 3 years in as a managerial role and age not more than 40.

Skills

  • Good analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • A good understanding of HR operations
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Good ICT skills 
  • Good knowledge of HR management system program and ERP.
