- Job Description:
Job Summary
A Waiter & Barista who assume the position in American Community Association is responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Waiter & Barista will also be required to have extensive knowledge of various hot drinks processing.
Specifically, responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Greeting members in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Providing American standard customer service to all members and guests.
- Manage guest queries in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
- Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments.
- Seats, takes orders and serves food and beverage to guest according to the established sequence and procedures.
- Presents menu, answers enquiries and makes suggestions regarding service to restaurant guests.
- Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course.
- Computes bill and accepts payment.
- Works closely with other Outlet employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the restaurant and the satisfaction of guests.
- Strictly adheres to all policies and procedures issued by the Finance with regard to cashiering and cash handling.
- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food and Beverage combinations and up sell alternatives.
- Job Requirements:
- 2-4 years’ experience as Waiter (Waitress) & Barista, including regular interactions with international clients and/or managers.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Western/U.S. customer service standards is preferred.
- Level III & above in Food & Beverage Service, Hospitality or related field.
- Certificate or Formal appreciations in Hot Drinks preparation is an advantage
- Strong service skill with very good Understanding of customers’ needs
- Must possess excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively and respectfully with local staff and association members.
- High level Spoken and written fluency in English and Amharic.
