Community Nutrition Activity Gender, Youth and Social Inclusion (GYSI) Analysis and GYSI Integration Strategy Development

FHI-360 is leading a consortium of International and Private Partners in implementing USAID Feed the Future Ethiopia Community Nutrition Activity that aims to improve the nutritional status of women, children, and adolescents through increased and sustained improvements in eleven high-impact behaviors that have proven highly effective in reducing malnutrition. These objectives will be realized through enhanced individual and community agency and demand for services, improved access to quality nutrition services at the community level, and improved capacity and coordination among nutrition stakeholders across sectors,

FHI 360 is pleased to announce the release of its Request for Proposal Community Nutrition RFP# 24-04. With this RFP, FHI 360 is soliciting applications from firms to conduct Gender, Youth and Social Inclusion (GYSI) Analysis and develop GYSI Integration Strategy. The purpose of the GYSI analysis is to produce evidence that will enhance programming within the Feed the Future Community Nutrition Activity and develop GYSI integration strategy, with the aim of making it gender transformative, inclusive of youth, and considerate of the unique needs of other vulnerable populations, such as individuals with disabilities. 

FHI 360 will accept and review proposals from consultancy firms that meet the following criteria:

1. The firm must possess a minimum of 10 years of up-to-date documented relevant work experience in carrying out both quantitative and qualitative research. Additionally, it should have been involved in at least five comparable studies and be able to provide supporting evidence for the same.
2. The firm must be able to provide two or more examples of GYSI analyses conducted and reports written.
3. The research coordinator and analysts should have at least a master’s degree in nutrition, health, gender, or social sciences.
4. The firm must have experience in using qualitative software (e.g., NVivo).
5. The firm must have cross-regional experience in Ethiopia.
6. Bidders should have an active registration, TIN number, and tax clearance for the current fiscal year.
7. Applicants must provide active Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) or required to obtain an active System for Award Management (SAM) registration at the time of the RFP application. Applicants may refer the registration information available on:  https://sam.gov/content/entity_registration
