The Opportunity
The position holder is primarily responsible to coordinate and implement the Health and Nutrition component as well as humanitarian component of the integrated Nutrition project in two project districts of Tigray regional state and to insure the linkage to the Country Nutrition Program at the project level. The post holder is responsible for the delivery of results in line with pre-agreed project plans and objectives and oversees Project implementation at all stages throughout the project cycle. Given that a significant amount of the project thematic activities is done in partnership with key government sector offices, s/he will have also a key aspect of the role is nurturing, developing and facilitating the achievement of results.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
- Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
- Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
- Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
- Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.
- Job Requirements:
- Education in BSC in Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing and other relevant fields of study
- Minimum 5 year’s relevant experience and practice in the field of emergency nutrition intervention, IYCF and health.
- Experience in developing and monitoring budgets.
- An understanding of child rights and their protection and fulfilment in the development context.
Languages required:
- Fluency in English language is essential
- In addition to Amharic other local Knowledge of Local Languages is a desirable
