Project Manager/Project Support Officer/Program Manger/Project Management Officer

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Spearhead (and Support) the overall lifecycle management (Scoping, Planning, Launching, M&E, and Closure) of portfolios, programs/initiates, and or projects within Lebeza’s 3-year strategic plan.

Overall responsibilities:

●       Lead the planning of the project activities and schedules in alignment with the PoS and RBS in working towards targeted project deliverables;

●       Provide Technical Support in Designing, organizing, recruiting, and selecting project teams;

●       Ensure teams stay focused, outcome-oriented, and responsible;

●       Creating a budget breakdown for and ensuring the budget is efficiently utilized throughout the project life span to ensure spending is within set limits

●       Accept and implement new and innovative ideas and interventions to enhance the success of projects and programs under Lebeza’s 3-year strategic plan

●       Responsible for project team motivation, including office teamwork and incentive programs

●       Provide coaching and work direction to project teams

●       Resolve procedural questions and/or conflicts  referred by interest groups

●       Ensure the work environment is kept organized, presentable, functioning, and professional at all times

●       Lead and approve team performance evaluation and reporting to the SMT

●       Interfacing with the project team, the functional unit supervising the project, Lebeza’s senior management team, and other interested parties;

●       Managing the project’s resources;

●       Perform risk management to minimize project risks

●       Monitoring and controlling the project status and reporting;

●       Identifying issues and problem areas in project management and proposing /approving innovative solutions to problems

●       Act as a project Champion and or devil's advocate in dealing with distress projects 

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer

Employment type: Permanent after 90 days of contract

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Qualification: Medical Doctor/Psychologist, BA in project management

Experience:

●       Good experience in proposal writing and research grant writing

●       Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as programme/project manager or relevant role

●       Work in an organization  in research, mental health project

●       Demonstrable competence in utilizing various PMLC models  mainly Traditional and Agile PMLC models (Extreme, EmEtrix PMLC preferred but not mandatory)

●       Demonstrable competency in managing project life cycles

●       Thorough understanding of the correlation of planning and strategic planning and business development in general

●       Experience in a healthcare setting and mainly in the mental healthcare setting (preferred but not mandatory)
