Job Description:

Organization strategic goals summary

The Ministry of Tourism aims to develop the country's tourist destinations in collaboration with various stakeholders and market and promote the destination at national and international levels through competitive marketing and promotional strategies. The Ministry of Tourism is working to narrow the gap in tourism destination and product development, specifically in carrying out a comprehensive mapping of tourism resources, undertaking product development, designing public-private partnership schemes, developing community engagement mechanisms, and enriching tourist experiences. Facilitates research on conservation and development of natural and cultural heritages for the benefit of tourism and can cope with the dynamics in the travel world and encourage foreign and domestic direct investments in tourism infrastructure.

Duration of Employment: 2 years


The International Marketing Specialist is responsible for overseeing creative message development, organizing various media information and making affordable and effective media buys to promote tourism, developing research-based advertising programs, managing marketing publications, conducting research, and assisting in developing marketing strategies to enhance revenues from the tourism industry, support in designing brand and product development, preparing and implementing promotion packages.


Job Responsibility #1: Planning and Management

  • Oversee creative message development, Organize various media information and make affordable and effective media buys to promote tourism.
  • Assess youth entrepreneurs' marketing competitiveness.
  • Plan new research-based advertising strategies for current and subsequent years that will increase travel market shares.
  • Implement cooperative advertising programs integrating the tourism-related segments that exist in the country.
  • Monitoring market changes in the targeted parts of the world and staying up to date with industry trends.
  • Manage design/printing of marketing publications.
  • Develop and execute innovative marketing programs/plans that attract customers and increase brand awareness.
  • Adjusting marketing campaigns based on changing sales trends in particular countries.
  • Tailoring brand messages to address different segments and adjusting messaging and tone of voice to each social media platform.
  • Analyzing large amounts of data to obtain actionable information that will be used for marketing strategies.
  • Develop and implement an engaging content strategy to increase user/subscriber base and website traffic.
  • Research, design, and implement marketing strategies to increase visitations and drive revenue.
  • Work with the marketing and promotion team to plan, strategize, and support the implementation of marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure marketing campaigns follow the Ministry's identity, brand, and organizational guidelines.
  • Improve ongoing campaigns based on performance data and leverage the insights to make data-driven decisions regarding future campaigns.
  • Present data-backed reports to the state minister for Marketing and promotion.
  • Come up with and present new B2B marketing ideas.
  • Analyse, track, and report on ongoing B2B marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure that all marketing collateral aligns with the brand voice and image.
  • Set short-term and long-term goals for content creation.
  • Establishing writing guidelines, processes, and strategies for content delivery.
  • Overseeing writing and editing processes.
  • Ensuring that the Ministry's branding guidelines are correctly implemented into the content.
  • Create content calendars.
  • Stay updated with the latest market and industry trends and incorporates them into marketing strategies.
  • Working with all departments to ensure the accurate and appropriate presentation of the information they're writing.
  • Support brand designing and management.
  • Prepare and implement effective Promotion packages that help reinforce existing markets and penetrate emerging ones.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor or management.

 Job Responsibility #2: Staff Management and development

  • Train Interns and prepare and release press kit to media; build campaigns and stories for unique selling points.
  • Managing a team of writers and editors and reporting on the effectiveness of the content strategy.
  • Support and manage staff reporting to him/her
  • Mentor and coach the marketing team to build their capacities and ensure long-term and short-term company goals are met.

 Job Responsibility #3 Monitoring, Evaluation, Networking

  • Develop relationships with national, international, and regional tourism-based publications, writers, tour operators, and travel agents.
  • Handle tracking and measurement of the campaign results, write reports about them regularly, and perform web analyses and KPI evaluations.

 Job Responsibility # 4 Reporting

  • Submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports on performances
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as required by the Minster and other executives
  • Provide accurate reporting on all content marketing projects to the management.
  • Report on ongoing B2B marketing initiatives.
Job Requirements:

III Qualifications, Skills & Experience


  • Master's degree in Marketing Management, International relations, Journalism, Economics, and related fields of study.
  • Proficiency in English and preferably in other foreign languages as well.  


  • At least eight years of relevant experience, preferably in tourism and hospitality.
  • Experienced in targeting the correct audience via social media by analyzing their demographics, interests, and behaviors
  • Thorough understanding of and Experience in B2B marketing
  • Experience in handling websites and social media platforms
  • Experience using Content Management Systems 

Technical and Other Skills & Values

  • Strong communication skills (proficiency in multiple languages is desirable) and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of CDP, Google Analytics, and Google Ads
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
