JOB DESCRIPTION

• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• understand how to configure and troubleshoot electronics, wiring, and other related technologies to verify proper functionality. 
• must be familiar with local and national telecom and wiring regulations to ensure compliance
• Installation of telecommunications cabling and equipment
• Installation, relocation and removal of tower mounted equipment
• Working at heights on a range of telecommunications structures including poles, towers and masts to install antennas, feeders and ancillary equipment
• Termination of telecommunications cables of various types and sizes
• Testing of cables for compliance with specifications
• Working with cranes, cherry pickers and MEWP’s as required carrying out works on site
• Need to demonstrate strong safety skill sets, have relevant field experience and be able to work well with others, as well as independently.
•  Tower and cell-site maintenance, antenna modifications/adds, commissioning/decommissioning, and comprehensive site audits and equipment testing.
• The ability to use and operate tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance, and operation of telecommunication systems.
• The ability to interact with all levels of management and co-workers is required. 
• The ability to demonstrate initiative and work and solve technical problems independently and as part of a team are required. 
• The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
• Be able to safeguard the working environment.
• Must do any work related to the above listed work, or any other work assigned by the team leader

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechanical, or associated degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience
• 0–1-year experience.
• Preferrable to know the basic knowledges on risk assessment, environmental and health safety.
• Carry out suitable and sufficient risk assessments in line with company procedures prior to work being undertaken.
• Assist in the testing of antenna systems for the purposes of fault finding and subsequent rectification.
• Conduct visual inspections of antenna Mounts, aerials, co-axial cables, fixings, feeder cables and anchor points.
• Carry out cable repairs including splicing and termination.
• Assist the team leader in the preparation and input of site reports and photographs onto the company database.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.
• The ability to meet basic medical and fitness requirements (medical required).
• It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a technical engineering background preferably within a similar role.
