- Job Description:
The SBC Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the general & specific Social and Behavioral Change (SBC) tasks with the regional team specifically on SBC related works. The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating with the Head quarter teams to effectively implement project tasks, ensuring project implementation adheres to SBC standards, and promoting positive social norms and behaviors related to health, education, gender, youth, WASH and other relevant areas. The SBC Coordinator will report to the regional director about the project implementation progresses timely and will actively work with stakeholders/partners in ensuring the minimum requirement need from projects.
- Job Requirements:
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee the program implementation
Provide linkages with regional structures and capacity building and support Kebele and community level workers
Oversee behavior change/demand creation activities related to expanding key behaviors at home, school, farmer centers and health facilities in the project woredas
Supporting the frontline workers while ensuring adequate stakeholder consultation and participation at all stages of the project implementation
Support the utilization of Better Well-Being SBC Kit and organize different annual events throughout the year
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of SBC activities to ensure adherence to the standards
Coordinate with the team to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners at Woreda level.
Conduct and/or facilitate training sessions and workshops on SBC for relevant stakeholders.
Collect and analyze data on SBC activities and prepare regular reports to share with the regional team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, communication, journalism, project management, or relevant fields.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in project-related works, preferably in SBC tasks.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Amharic, and Oromiffa (both written and verbal). [Mandatory]
• Good report writing skills and ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
• Strong coordination and team playing skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
