Waitress /Waiter

Mingeren Hotel, Addis Ababa which is centrally located at Bole Dembel, around Dember Building is looking for a dynamic, self-starter to join our team for the Waitress /Waiter position.

Duties and responsibilities

• Quickly and warmly greet guests at the front and seat them, offer excellent hospitality and handle customers with appropriate friendliness and professionalism.
• Deliver food promptly while maintaining safe handling and sanitation standards. Follow up occasionally to assist with any further needs or requests. Being attentive to the customers’ needs and providing assistance even before asked.
• Must demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, especially with regard to possible allergies and dietary restrictions. Must be able to accommodate preferences and communicate that with the cook effectively.
• Ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to , and immediately after the service is provided, keeping areas clean, neat and in accordance with sanitation standards.

Required qualifications and competencies

• Diploma/Certificate in Hotel Management/Hotel Operations/ F&B service and other related field
• Having COC certification is an advantage
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and handle multiple assignments
• Capable of working in a team environment
• Articulate and good listener
• Willing to do shift work
