Job Description:

We are searching for a well-organized purchase officer to join our team. As the purchase officer, you need to coordinate with internal teams in our factory regarding their supply needs, in their daily activities. You will carry out all tasks allocated by the team, which may include conducting research on potential vendors and suppliers, inspecting goods, and updating records. You should be able to negotiate pricing and transport costs.

To be successful as a purchase officer you should be able to do multitask and evaluate products and vendors. Ultimately, a top purchase officer should be able to negotiate well and ensure that all purchases comply with company standards A purchase officer should be smooth negotiators with a keen eye for detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.
  • Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
  • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
  • Performing inventory inspections with the support of Store officer and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.
  • Conducting market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.
  • Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.
  • Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock.
  • Manage to procure the required item at factory & office for smooth maintenance of machinery/ equipment for uninterrupted production and if any running project, etc. 
  • Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
  • Attending product launches and networking with industry professionals.
  • Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers for future project needs.
  • Ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner as requested.
  • Collaborate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s / Diploma degree in business, logistics, or material management a related field may be required.
  • At least 2 – years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. Able to learn running ERP system in our organisation.
  •  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and local language also have a better negotiation skill.
  • Great organizational and planning skills.
  • The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
  • The ability to follow client specifications.
  • Excellent networking and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
