School Director (For KG to Primary Level)

 Sher Ethiopia Plc is the leading flower farm in Ethiopia. Besides its farm activities, the company provides school service for its workers and local communities around the farm. Hence, we are looking for potential School Director for the Adami-Tulu school.

MAJOR DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position holder reports directly to Sher Schools Director/Sher Management; and will have the following rules among others:

• Plan, organize, coordinate and control the overall teaching-learning processes and school management activities.
• Ensure all materials and human resources are available for the teaching-learning activities in the school.
• Monitor and follow up the day to day activities of teaching-learning activities of the school as per the set time table.
• Creates conducive and smooth working environment in the school for effectiveness of teaching-learning activities.  
• Tracking and evaluating students’ academic progress in the school.
•  Manage and evaluate performance of teachers periodically.
• Work closely and collaboratively with company’s Schools Director for the effectiveness of the school objectives.
• Liaison the school with local community and education office on the school’s affairs.
• Report school’s performance to the Sher Schools’ Director and concerned stakeholders as required. 

PLACE OF WORK: Eastern Shewa Zone, Adami Tulu

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum BA degree graduate in educational planning and management or related field of study.
• Have minimum 3 years work experiences as Primary School Director, preferably in private or public schools.
• Have additional short term on-job-trainings on school management is advantages.

 SKILLS AND KNOWELDGE:

• Good leadership and management skills
• Strong team building and motivational skills,
• Good interpersonal communication skill
• Good report writing and planning ability.
• Ability of writing, listening and Fluency in Afan Oromo, Amaharic and English languages.
