Job Brief

We are in search of a creative and professional Film and Video Editor to join our production team. You will be responsible for editing photos and producing videos from raw footages for external and internal purposes. You will be required to assemble and edit recorded footage and convert them into finished products that match the director’s vision. You should ensure that the final products are appropriate for broadcasting in terms of audio and visual elements. You will plaMeeting with the director to determine production vision.

• Review raw material to determine the short list.
• Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques.
•  Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value.
• Trimming footage and putting together the rough project.
• Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
• Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence.
• Consulting with the director and production team throughout the project.
• Creating the final cut for broadcasting.
• Proven experience as a creative director or in a similar creative role.
• Hand-on experience in the creative process, marketing, graphic design and brand development.
• Excellent working knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.
• Outstanding leadership and organization skill.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Social Science field.
• Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.
• Previous work experience as a video editor.
• Hands-on experience with editing software, including Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Light works, and Premier.
• Creative and artistic skills.
• Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.
•  Portfolio of completed film productions.
•  Ability to work to a tight schedule.
• Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.
• Collaborate with directors to determine shooting needs and requirements.
• Chose and set all the needed filming equipment.
• Arrange cameras and examine angles to achieve the best shooting outcomes.
• Test camera movements.
• Shoot scenes according to guidance and requirements.
• Film quality footage.
• Collaborate with other team members.
• Report and resolve any technical or practical issues.
• Provide creative input to scene planning and implementation.
• Execute editing activities.
