Hardware Maintenance Officer

Wasasa Microfinance S.C. has been engaging in providing financial services to active poor communities of both rural and urban areas of The Oromia National Regional State since the year 2000.  Currently, Wasasa’s Management wants to recruit a qualified and competent person on the following vacant position.

 Job Summary:

He/she is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining IT Equipment, also responsible for the smooth running of computer system and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair and Maintenance of data center infrastructure including servers, Network Devices and Data center Facilities.
• Repair and Maintenance of Desktop infrastructure including but not limited to Computers, laptops, Printers, scanners, POS Machines and other terminals.
• Installs, upgrades, and troubleshoots hardware/software for branches, regional offices, and various head-office organs.
• Participates in network installations of various units, training of end users, troubleshooting of LAN/WAN environments and other computing ecosystems.
• Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality

Duty station:  Head office; Sebeta, Alemgena

Terms of employment: Permanent

Number required: One (1)  

Desired qualifications:

• Should be a Diploma /BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Hardware Maintenance or any other related field of study and 8/2 years of relevant work experience.
• For Diploma applicants COC Certification is required

Special Training:

• Preferred Professional Certifications: A+ or Cisco or Microsoft certifications is required.

Language Proficiency:

• Good command of written and spoken English & Afan Oromo is required.
