Job Summery

Assisting the Operational Manager with the day-to-day operations of a restaurant, oversee the team and ensure each shift is run effectively with optimal operational excellence and genuine hospitality, and delivering superior food and beverage service

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for overseeing daily operations of the restaurant and delivering superior food and beverage service

·         Oversee food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling and hygiene standards

·         Develop food and beverage concepts

·         Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience

·         Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a courteous manner

·         Effectively recruit and manage employees

·         Determine needs of training and implement as needed

·         Manage, motivate, and organize the department

·         Maintain and further develop the standards of operation

·         Generate management and financial reports

·         develops and encourages new and innovative solutions

·         Excellent communication skills – both in Amharic and English

·         Very well organized, good reporting skills

·         Able to work under pressure

·         Works well in teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment

·         Ability to think strategically

·         Willing to take disciplinary actions when needed

·         Good computer skills: MS word and Excel 

·         Bachelor's degree, Diploma or Level 5 Certificate in food and beverage service from accredited Hotel Institute center

·         5+ years of Restaurant experience.
