Chemical, Biological and Radio nuclear (CBRN) hazards preparedness and response officerwill coordinate the surveillance, preparedness, and mitigation, response and recovery activities towards CBRN hazards.

Roles and Responsibility:

·  Developing preparedness, response and recovery guideline for CBRN emergency/incident.

·   Develop relevant working documents/SOPs/manuals for CBRN hazards.

·  Conduct chemical and radiological risk assessment.

·  Conducting vulnerability assessment and Risk mapping for CBRN hazards.

·  Develop preparedness and response plan for chemical, biological and radio nuclear hazards.

· Establishing surveillance system and reporting/information sharing mechanismfor CBRN incidents/emergencies.

· Establishing or strengthening platforms for communication and coordination between sectors/partners including law enforcement.

· Coordinating trainings (in and out of country) for CBRN incidents/emergencies preparedness and response mechanism.

· Preparation of the list of required medical and personal counter measures according to the exposure.

· Facilitation of prevention and response to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear events/emergencies.

· Strengthen laboratory capacity for CBRN hazardstest to support response.

· Facilitate the establishment of “poison control center” which can entertain calls regarding exposure to hazardous chemicals to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear events/emergencies.

·  Engaging in one-health response approach (environmental, human, and animal sectors).

MSc in environmental health/ environmental science/ engineering with a minimum 0 years’ work experience, and BSc in Environmental health with a minimum of 4 years’ experience

·  Experience in public health emergency management (PHEM)

·  Has basic training on CBRN hazards (Risk assessment, prevention, responses…)

·  Experience in document preparation (manuals, guideline….)

· Effective in communication, multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skill

·  Ability to meet deadlines; work independently and cooperatively with team members.

· Provide training on CBRN hazards with in the respective structural level.

·  Working under stress condition with additional extra time accordingly

· Field travel.

·  Front line-FETP is an advantageous.
