The Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS) was founded with a vision of a premier higher learning and research institution on peace and security studies. IPSS pursues the mission to promote peace and security in Ethiopia and Africa at large through education, research, and professional development.

 

Within this outlook, the partnership with the African Union (AU), the Africa Peace and Security Progamme, operates with the vision of a premier source for AU and Regional Economic Communities (RECs) of substantial and high-quality contributions towards promoting practical African led-solutions for peace and security challenges.
