HIV/AIDS and poverty are one of the chronic social problems that casts a very heavy shadow of despair and even in extreme cases create hopelessness in the many life's of destitute families of Ethiopians. Hundreds of thousands of HIV/AIDS orphans & destitute elders have been thrown away due to the weight of numerous socio-economic problems. However severe the problems & however punishing the storms, the society in general and the corporate business community in particular can't turn its back on the helpless orphans and elderlies.

 

It is with this reason that Mr. Samuel Tafese and his wife Mrs. Fetlework Elala have decided themselves by establishing such a local Philanthropic Foundation. Sunshine Philanthropic Foundation is established with the aim to making a sustainable impact in the fight against HIV/AIDS, beggary and the cumulative adverse effects of socio-economic problems.

 

The Sunshine Philanthropy Foundation is a non-profit organization, which currently has 1,080 students in our schools located in the cities of Agena, Nekemt and Axum. Our schools are located in rural and very poor areas of Ethiopia. The Foundation opened its doors in March of 2010. SPF provides educational and financial support for its students. Our vision is to see poverty free Ethiopia through the power of education and care.
