With duty station in Addis Ababa and reporting to Manager, IT Support, you will be responsible to:
JOB PURPOSELead and work in the Installation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Configuration of Generators, UPS’s, AC’s, HVAC, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical systems, equipment and components of the exchange. He/she ensures compliance of Electrical/Mechanical codes, standards, and regulations of the company.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes;
- Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools;
- Ensures scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on each electrical and electronic equipment, appliances, apparatus and other materials as required;
- Examines and recommend electrical equipment and system requirements of the exchange;
- Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes;
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem;
- Develops specifications and prepares requisitions for equipment and supplies;
- Works to incorporate efficient methods of maintaining new equipment or plant, and may be involved in the installation and commissioning process;
- Liaise with Ethio-telecom and EEPCO to resolve issues related with telecommunications infrastructure and electric power as required;
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

- Required qualifications and experience:
- B.Sc. Degree in Electronics/Engineering or related fields & strong computer skill (mandatory).
- 5 years proven experience in installing, repairing and maintaining electrical system equipment’s and components, out of which 1 years of experience in Supervisory position in Electrical/Mechanical Equipment’s maintenance.
