Training Department Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Training Manager to help us create a cohesive workforce who understands how to work efficiently and meet company goals. You will work closely with research and development team to develop training strategies and programs to meet those needs.

Training Manager Duties and Responsibilities

• Establish a vision for the current and future development of the training and capacity building portfolio through proactive and innovative approaches
• Development and implementation of a strategy, operational plans and budgets for Alpha training services in line with our core vision
• Stay abreast of trends and good practices in training, e-learning, personal and professional development
• Identify and support the development of new training course subjects or services
• Assess current operational procedures and identify skills or knowledge gaps and plain gap filling practices
• Collaborate with research and development team instruction and training planning
• Design and develop comprehensive programs for training, including training aids and materials
• Manage specific tailor made training jobs as requested by clients, ranging from short-term training workshops to longer-term training, facilitation and consultancy.
• Organize and oversee in-house training sessions
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and make adjustments when necessary
• Maintain a database of curriculum, materials, and personnel training records
• Oversee learning activities, curriculum and resources
• Manage the daily routine of the department
• Evaluate the results of learning courses
• Hire, train and develop department trainers
• Develops and implements evaluation system to monitor the quality of the training delivery and trainers
• Develop, monitor, and report on annual and project budgets in the field of training in collaboration with finance staff, and authorize related expenditure.
• Compile and provide data, oral and written reports for management purposes including for senior management\

Other duties

• Execute other reasonable tasks requested by your line manager or the top management. 

Training Manager Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, education, or other related field
• 3+ years of experience as a trainer, coach, or training facilitator, preferably in a large corporate environment
• Proven success in utilizing and implementing instructional design theory
• Familiar with both traditional and modern job training methods, trends and techniques
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
